AMS Mahila Vidyalaya

Mahila Vidyalaya, Andhra Mahila Sabha is the oldest social welfare organization in South India started by Smt Durgabai Deshmukh, a freedom fighter and social worker in her younger days and her part in freedom movement.

Drop outs of class X, XI, XII of other schools are given special coaching for their exam by experienced and qualified teachers. Mahila Vidyalaya Nursery and Primary school have been started in September 2005 and recognized by Government of Tamil Nadu. About 45 students have already joined for LKG to V standard and it is proposed to increase the strength in the coming years.

Hostel is attached for students coming from outside Chennai with security and vegetarian food. Classes from LKG to Vth have been started apart from usual Creche and Pre KG classes and a good number of students have joined in the academic year.

So far more than 1000 students were trained and they are working as lawyers, lecturers, social workers all over India. Our results are cent percent pass.

The governing body comprises of the President, Vice President, Chairperson, Secretary and Administrative Committee members.
